Improved and Sustained Graduate Programs Diversity Outcomes: a 10-year Analysis and Summary of the Brown University IMSD Program

For more than a decade, leaders of the IMSD@Brown program have worked not only to expand diversity among doctoral students in the University’s science, technology, engineering and math programs, but also to propel the career success of underrepresented students over the long term — in effect, increasing diversity in STEM on a much larger scale.

The article published on the Brown news page is highlighting our 10-year study. This study looked at the outcomes of the IMSD@Brown program over a period of 10 years, showing it has in fact increased diversity within academic programs and prepared underrepresented students for successful careers in STEM.
