Initiative for Maximizing Student Development at Brown

IMSD@Brown

The Initiative for Maximizing Student Development at Brown University (IMSD@Brown) provides graduate students with professional development opportunities, academic support, and a community which enhances success in their PhD programs and makes them highly competitive for the postdoctoral positions and scientific careers of their choice.

The goal of the Initiative for Maximizing Student Development (IMSD) research training program is to strengthen research training environments and promote broader participation in the biomedical research workforce by expanding the pool of well-trained scientists earning a PhD.

Participating Programs

IMSD@Brown partners with 22 doctoral programs within the Division of Biology and Medicine, the School of Public Health, the School of Engineering, and related physical science disciplines.
